Thursday, March 27, 2014 In preparation for our departure tomorrow, Bob pumped out the holding tank and did an engine check adding oil to the engines, while I did some wash at the marina laundromat. I didn’t know when I would have another opportunity to do laundry, so I made the most of it. We also moved the boat over to the fuel dock to gas up today while the weather was good and the fuel dock was empty. The boat was now ready to go! The sun came out later in the morning, after we started the day with clouds and a few sprinkles. We made arrangements with our friends, Bernie and Barb, from Cape Coral to come down to the marina for a visit this afternoon.
They arrived around 1:30 and we spent the afternoon getting caught up on all that’s been happening in our lives. After they left, we had fresh mahi mahi for dinner. I took Auggie for a walk while Bob participated in the Co-op’s monthly board meeting via Skype. It ended around 8:45 and we relaxed the rest of the evening. We are anxious to get moving and will take advantage of the good “weather window” tomorrow to be on our way.
