Englewood to Ft. Myers

Monday, March 24, 2014 Overnight we had rain showers which lasted into the early morning hours. The light rain would continue for awhile, but we decided to not wait for it to stop before leaving. We donned our raincoats and hauled anchor heading south to Ft. Myers at 11:00. It continued to rain lightly all day. We passed about 10 big yachts going north.

Bob radioed one of the yachts to find out that they had come from Jupiter, FL 2 days ago and were heading to South Seas Plantation Marina tonight. What a sight that was!

There were more boats traveling down the ICW today in this weather than I thought there would be. We arrived in Ft. Myers Yacht Basin for the night at around 3:00. We got all tied up and waited a few minutes for the rain to stop so Auggie could get his walk. It continued to rain off and on until darkness fell and then into the night. We relaxed inside watching a little TV and waited for everything to dry out.
