Asheville, NC Day 12

August 19, 2023 Today is our last day in North Carolina so we just enjoyed the day and the weather. We had a leisurely morning–sent some emails, made some phone calls, and finished the last load of wash. After lunch, Bob and I took a bike ride around the campground to see all the new arrivals and how much the park was filling up for the weekend. When we got back from our ride, Bob did a small repair on one of the taillights on the bus that seemed to be filling with water. He resealed it to prevent it from happening again. I walked over to the pool for a swim and Bob joined me later. I made a new friend at the pool–a 4-year old girl named Ava who latched onto me and talked up a storm. She was a cute little thing with quite a vocabulary.

After about an hour, we went back to the bus where I could do some quiet reading while Bob went to the liquor store. While Bob was gone, Auggie and I sat outside and enjoyed the sun. The kiddie train came by. They were having a blast. I wanted to jump in for a ride too!

The campground had a bunch of activities going on for the kids in the afternoon and later from 6-9 they had a DJ playing music. We stopped to check it out as we took Auggie for his walk. Tomorrow, we reluctantly leave here and will spend our next night near Columbia, SC. We have enjoyed our time in North Carolina and plan on coming back real soon.
